Apollo Micro Systems buys 34% stake in Shauryastra Defence Systems
Apollo Micro Systems just grabbed a 34% stake in Shauryastra Defence Systems Private Limited, a fresh startup led by former Secretary of the Department of Defence R&D and former Director General of DRDO Dr. V.K. Saraswat.
The deal, worth ₹34,000 for 3,400 shares, aims to boost advanced tech for India's Armed Forces (pretty cool considering SDS was only founded on August 21, 2026).
Apollo to buy 41.33% Premier Explosives
With this investment, Apollo plans to use its four decades of defense electronics experience to build full weapon system solutions and support India's push for self-reliance (Atmanirbhar Bharat).
They've entered into a Share Purchase Agreement (SPA) with the promoter shareholders of Premier Explosives to acquire a 41.33% stake for ₹1,550 crore.
Meanwhile, SEBI has told Apollo to start the open offer process within 12 working days after CCI approval; successful public shareholders who tender their shares in the open offer get paid within 10 working days from the closure of the tendering period (with interest if there are delays).
All these moves make Apollo a stronger player in India's defense scene.
