Bajaj Housing Finance shares take a hit after big stake sale

Business

Bajaj Housing Finance shares have dropped nearly 10% in just five days, making some investors uneasy.
The fall came right after Bajaj Finance sold ₹1,600 crore worth of its stake, which got people worried about too many shares hitting the market.
As of December 4, 2025, the stock is trading at ₹95.15—close to its lowest point this year and edging closer to its IPO price.

Strong earnings but investor nerves remain

Even though the company posted solid numbers last quarter—a ₹643 crore profit and ₹2,755 crore in revenue—the stock's technicals look weak and it's well below last year's high of ₹147.70.
Investors are still on edge about possible future stake sales since promoters hold over 85% of shares, keeping the stock volatile since its debut in September 2024.
