BASF completes Noble Seeds takeover adding cauliflower and radish genetics
BASF has officially taken over Noble Seeds, a move first announced late last year.
With this deal, Noble Seeds is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Nunhems India Private Limited, part of BASF | Nunhems.
The big idea? BASF is boosting its game in India's vegetable seed market, especially by adding strong cauliflower and radish genetics to its lineup.
Noble Seeds retains independent operations
For now, Noble Seeds will keep running on its own, using its strong local ties with farmers while tapping into BASF's wider crop expertise.
By combining Noble's presence in North India with Nunhems's base in the South, BASF hopes to offer better support across different regions.
As Maximilian Becker from BASF Nunhems put it, India is one of the most important and fast-moving vegetable seed markets in the world.
