Bata to double India business by 2031, prioritizing sneakers
Business
Bata is gearing up to double its India business by 2031, with Panos Mytaros calling India a "sleeping giant" for the brand.
Since India already brings in about 25% of Bata's global revenue, the company's strategy is all about opening more stores, leveling up their online shopping experience, and putting sneakers front and center to win over younger shoppers.
Bata plans more stores and exports
Expect to see more Bata outlets (both company-owned and franchised) popping up across the country.
The brand is also planning to ramp up exports from India and keep prices steady thanks to local manufacturing.
Mytaros says they're focused on making Bata stand out more and connect better with young Indians: Bata will be more visible and more relevant.
