Taking on Airtel and Reliance Jio, Vodafone has introduced a new prepaid plan of Rs. 229.
Under this unlimited plan, which is currently available in select regions, the telco is offering 2GB of high-speed daily data and unlimited calling benefits across India.
But how does this Vodafone plan compare with its competitors under Rs. 250 price point?

With the new Rs. 229 prepaid pack, Vodafone is giving 2GB of high-speed daily data and unlimited calling (local, STD and roaming), and 100 daily SMSes for a validity of 28 days.
Additionally, the plan also offers complimentary access to several movies, live TV and shows via the Vodafone Play App.
This new prepaid plan is currently available in select regions like Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, and Rajasthan. Meanwhile, in Assam, this unlimited plan is being offered to new subscribers as a first recharge option.
Talking of competition, Airtel's Rs. 249 prepaid plan offers 2GB of 4G data per day, unlimited calling across India, and 100 daily SMSes for a total of 28 days.
Additionally, the plan offers complimentary access to content available on Airtel TV premium, new 4G device cashback of upto Rs. 2,000, free 1-year Norton Mobile Security and Cloud backup, and free Wynk Music subscription.
Likewise, Idea offers a bunch of unlimited plans ranging from Rs. 9 to Rs. 1,699. However, under Rs. 250, the most balanced option is the Rs. 209 pack.
This prepaid plan offers unlimited calls, 1.5GB of 3G/2G data per day, and 100 daily SMSes for a validity 28 days.
Notably, beyond the daily quota, data will be charged at Rs. 0.04/10kb.
Under the Rs. 250 price point, Reliance Jio offers a Rs. 198 monthly pack.
This unlimited prepaid pack provides 2GB of 4G data per day along with unlimited calling and 100 daily SMSes for a total of 28 days.
Moreover, the telco provides free access to Jio suite of apps which include popular services such as JioTV, JioSaavn, and JioCinema.
