Budget 2026-27: MSMEs get ₹12,000cr boost
The Union Budget 2026-27 just rolled out a big ₹12,000 crore push to help MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) level up.
The plan focuses on giving these businesses more funding, easier access to cash, and support with government rules.
Out of this, ₹10,000 crore goes straight into the SME Growth Fund to help the most promising small businesses grow faster.
Stronger MSMEs mean more jobs and innovation
This matters because stronger MSMEs mean more jobs and innovation—stuff that actually impacts daily life.
The Self-Reliant India Fund is also getting an extra ₹2,000 crore boost to help micro enterprises get better funding.
Plus, new reforms on the TReDS platform, along with other Budget measures, could help unlock up to ₹8.1 lakh crore in stuck payments by making it easier for small businesses to get paid on time and access loans quickly.
And if you're from a smaller city, "Corporate Mitras" will soon be around to help local businesses with compliance headaches—making it easier for them (and maybe even you someday) to thrive.
