Companies get breather on compliance filings
Business
Good news for companies: the Ministry of Corporate Affairs has extended the deadline to file annual returns and financial statements for FY 2024-25.
Instead of rushing by October or November, companies can now submit everything by December 31, 2025, with no late fees.
This break comes as everyone adjusts to new digital forms on the MCA-21 portal.
Key forms included in extension
The extension covers key forms like MGT-7, MGT-7A, and AOC-4 series—basically all the big compliance filings.
But there's a catch: Annual General Meeting (AGM) deadlines haven't changed. So while paperwork can wait, AGMs still need to happen on schedule.
This move is meant to ease pressure as companies get used to new online processes.
