Eli Lilly launches Foundayo oral GLP-1 pill in UK

Eli Lilly just rolled out Foundayo, an oral pill for weight loss and type 2 diabetes, making the UK the first in Europe to offer it.
Approved earlier this month, Foundayo joins Novo Nordisk's Wegovy as the second oral GLP-1 pill cleared in the UK.
Foundayo under private prescription at £100-£120
You can get Foundayo through private prescription right now, and it costs about £100 to £120 per month, way less than Eli Lilly's injectable Mounjaro (£330 per month).
The company is also talking with NICE to possibly bring Foundayo to public healthcare.
Meanwhile, Foundayo remains under review in the European Union.
