France raises Tibi to €15bn at VivaTech with €13bn boost
France is seriously stepping up its support for homegrown and European tech, announcing an extra €13 billion for its Tibi initiative at the VivaTech conference in Paris.
With this third phase, the total funding target jumps to €15 billion by 2030, meaning since 2020, around €31 billion will have been pumped into the region's tech scene.
Half allocated to deep tech SMEs
Half of this fresh funding is set aside for deep tech companies (think AI, advanced hardware, and next-generation science).
The goal? Help small and midsize firms grow big without leaving Europe, and make it easier for them to go public locally.
Big names like SNCF, RATP, Naval Group, MBDA, and Eutelsat are joining in too, making the pool of support even stronger for ambitious startups across France and Europe.
