Haier wants to ramp up its India game with ₹1,000cr boost

Business

Haier Appliances India is looking to invest ₹1,000 crore from its parent company to set up a new factory in South India.
The goal? Increase production capacity from 1.5 million units to 4 million units and create about 3,500 new jobs.

Big growth plans (and bigger numbers)

Haier's revenue for FY25 was ₹8,234 crore.
The company wants to double revenue to $2 billion in the next few years and will invest over ₹1,000 crore in local manufacturing between now and 2028.

Expanding across India

Beyond Greater Noida, Haier is planning a new plant in South India.
They're also aiming for more "Made-in-India" products to back the Atmanirbhar Bharat push.

New partners on board soon

Haier is set to sell a 49% stake in its Indian business to Bharti Enterprises and Warburg Pincus (with employees getting a small slice too).
An IPO is on the cards within two years—helping Haier go even more local while ticking all the regulatory boxes.
