HDFC Bank's advances, deposits see double-digit growth in Q4

HDFC Bank has posted a strong growth in business volumes for the March quarter, with both advances and deposits witnessing double-digit year-on-year growth. The bank's average advances under management stood at ₹29.64 lakh crore for the March 2026 quarter, a 10% increase from ₹26.95 lakh crore last year. Period-end advances under management were about ₹30.57 lakh crore, reflecting a 10.2% YoY rise.

Average deposits up by 12.8% YoY
HDFC Bank's gross advances at the end of the quarter rose 12% YoY to ₹29.60 lakh crore, compared to ₹26.43 lakh crore in the same period last year. On the liabilities side, average deposits increased 12.8% YoY to ₹28.51 lakh crore with period-end deposits at ₹31.05 lakh crore, reflecting a 14.4% growth over last year's figures for this time period.
Deposit trends
CASA deposits rise by 12.3% YoY
HDFC Bank's term deposits continued to drive growth, rising 15.5% YoY to ₹20.45 lakh crore at the end of the quarter. Meanwhile, CASA (Current Account Savings Account) deposits also saw a healthy increase of 12.3% YoY to ₹10.60 lakh crore during this period. These numbers reflect the bank's strong performance in both its lending and deposit-taking operations for Q4 FY2026.
