Honeywell teams up with Indian company to make jet fuel from ethanol

Business

Honeywell recently signed a deal with a yet-to-be-named Indian company to bring its tech that turns ethanol—made from things like corn or sugarcane—into aviation fuel.
The plan? Build a big new plant by 2028, which fits right in with India's push for greener fuels and higher ethanol use.

What else is happening

Honeywell isn't stopping there—they're also talking to other companies about licensing this tech, hoping to lock in more deals soon.
India's strong sugar industry already helps produce loads of ethanol, and some of it's being used for fuel.
Plus, Honeywell has another process that turns biomass into bio-crude (think: renewable oil), and they're discussing that with an Indian oil company too.
It's all part of their bigger goal to boost clean energy options in India.
