India and Cambodia to speed up bilateral investment treaty signing

India and Cambodia just agreed to speed up a Bilateral Investment Treaty (BIT) after their big meeting in Phnom Penh.
The two sides agreed to work toward the early signing of the BIT.
India, Cambodia discuss trade and UPI
Both sides talked about expanding trade in areas like medicine, agriculture, banking, e-governance, and even traditional healing.
They're also working on connecting UPI payment systems so Cambodian apps can scan Indian QR codes, making cross-border payments smoother.
Trade between the two countries has already jumped over 36% in the past year, with another 63.25% year-on-year increase just this April through June!
Plus, there's an "Invest in Cambodia" road show discussed in India to encourage Indian businesses to explore new opportunities.
