India gets 1st cooperative ride-hailing app: How it works
Bharat Taxi is here—India's first cooperative-led, zero-commission ride-hailing app.
Scheduled to be launched by Union Minister Amit Shah, it lets you book cars, autos, or even bikes at transparent fares.
The big idea? Give folks an alternative to private cab apps and keep things fair for both riders and drivers.
Drivers are stakeholders, not just partners
Unlike typical ride platforms, drivers on Bharat Taxi are actual stakeholders—they get insurance, share in profits, and even have a say on the board.
Over three lakh (300,000) drivers have joined the platform, and there's real-time tracking plus 24/7 support for users.
No surge pricing, no surprise fares
Bharat Taxi starts off in Delhi and other cities. Plans are already in place to expand nationwide within the next two years.
The goal: fair pay for drivers and more affordable rides for everyone—no surprise surge pricing.
