India gets global shoutout for fighting tax evasion

India just got a major nod from the OECD, calling it a "strong champion" against offshore tax evasion at a big international forum in New Delhi.
The spotlight was on India's NUDGE campaign, which kicked off in late 2024 and got thousands of people to come clean about foreign assets.

Now, with NUDGE 2.0 rolling out, high-risk folks are getting reminders to fix their tax returns by December 31—or face some serious penalties under the Black Money Act.
