India-Russia trade set for a big leap by 2030
India and Russia are taking their economic partnership up a notch—trade between the two has jumped 80% in just three years, now hitting $64 billion.
At the India-Russia Business Forum, PM Modi and President Putin rolled out the Vision 2030 plan, aiming to cross $100 billion in trade well ahead of schedule.
The focus: boosting trade, energy security, nuclear cooperation, and building better infrastructure together.
Free trade talks and new projects on the way
Both countries are working on a Free Trade Agreement with the Eurasian Economic Union to make trading smoother and cheaper.
Russia wants more Indian products, while major connectivity projects like the International North-South Transport Corridor and Chennai-Vladivostok sea route are set to make moving goods faster.
There's also teamwork brewing in clean energy, electric vehicles, and critical minerals—tapping into each other's strengths for future growth.
