India's engineering exports just got a major boost, up 24.48% in May 2026, reaching $12.31 billion.
That's a solid jump from last year and shows the sector is holding strong, even with global trade issues and political tensions swirling around.
April-May engineering exports $22.66bn up 16.8%
Exports for April-May are also up by 16.8%, hitting $22.66 billion so far this fiscal year.
EEPC India Chairman Pankaj Chadha credits quick adaptation and government support for keeping Indian exporters competitive worldwide.
He does caution that energy market disruptions could linger, even after the announcement of a peace deal between the US and Iran.
Chadha also points out that diversifying markets and products is key if India wants to stay a reliable player in global manufacturing and supply chains.
