IndusInd Bank Chairman Sunil Mehta to resign in January
Business
Big changes are happening at IndusInd Bank—Chairman Sunil Mehta is stepping down this January, right after the bank reported its biggest-ever quarterly loss from governance and accounting failures.
Earlier this year, both the CEO and Deputy CEO also resigned, as the bank seeks to recover from these setbacks.
Board shake-up and plans for a comeback
With investors upset over delayed disclosure of financial errors, new CEO Rajiv Anand (who joined in August 2025) is leading a major overhaul.
The bank has brought in fresh leadership for finance and wholesale operations, while its largest shareholder says new directors are joining the board.
IndusInd is now aiming for a solid turnaround, targeting a 1% return on assets over the next year or so.
