Reliance Jio Fiber launched: Plans start at Rs. 699/month

After a year-long period of speculations, rumors, and leaks, Reliance Jio has commercially rolled out its much-awaited Jio Fiber service in India today. The fiber-to-the-home service, set to reach users in 1,600 towns across the country, comes at a starting price of Rs. 699/month for the entry-level Bronze pack and goes up to Rs. 8,499/month for the top-tier Titanium plan. Here's all about it.

Let's have a quick look at all the plans

The Bronze and Silver packs, priced at Rs. 699/month and Rs. 849/month respectively, offer 100Mbps of speed. The mid-level Gold and Diamond plans provide 250Mbps and 500Mbps of speed and cost Rs. 1,299/month and Rs. 2,499/month, respectively. The top-tier Platinum and Titanium packs, which cost Rs. 3,999/month and Rs. 8,499/month, offer 1Gbps data speed.

All plans come with a FUP limit

Though these plans offer unlimited data access, there is a FUP limit on all the plans. With the Bronze plan, you get high-speed internet till 100GB while the data limit for the top-end Titanium plan is set as 5,000GB. Initially, the Bronze, Silver, Gold and Diamond plans will come with an extra high-speed data of upto 250GB, depending on the plan.

Jio First-Day First-Show movies service exclusive to top-tier plans

Alongside the data benefit, all Jio Fiber plans will offer free domestic voice calls, video calling, gaming, and Norton antivirus for upto 5 devices. However, the top-tier Platinum and Titanium plans will offer exclusive services like Jio First-Day First-Show, Jio VR platform et al.

Further, Jio has announced a Welcome Offer for all Jio Fiber customers who subscribe to JioForever annual plans. Under this offer, consumers will get Rs. 5,000-worth Jio Home Gateway device and Jio 4K set-top box worth Rs. 6,400 for free. Additionally, subscribers will also get two months of extra service, double data, complimentary three-month access to subscriptions like JioSaavn, JioCinema, and other OTT apps.

Diamond, Platinum, Titanium annual plan subscribers will get free TV

Those who subscribe for the Silver annual plan will get Thump 2 Bluetooth speakers while those opting for the JioForever Gold annual plan will get a free Muse 2 Bluetooth speaker or a free 24-inch HD TV if they opt for a two-year plan. Meanwhile, the Diamond, Platinum, and Titanium annual plan subscribers will get a free HD TV (display size varies with plan).

Jio Fiber preview subscribers will be migrated to paid plans

Reliance Jio has also confirmed that the existing Jio Fiber subscribers will be migrated to paid plans. The telco will reach out to you individually and provide all necessary details. Meanwhile, existing subscribers can continue using their Jio Fiber service without interruption.
