JioMart expands to 5,000+ pin codes with 600 dark stores

Business

Reliance Retail just rolled out 600+ dark stores across India, aiming to deliver orders in under 30 minutes—even in areas its 3,000+ physical stores can't reach.
This gives JioMart a bigger footprint, now serving over 5,000 pin codes in more than 1,000 cities and stepping up the competition with Blinkit and Swiggy Instamart.

Dark stores in the spotlight

These new dark stores are set up in spots where fast delivery was tough before.
According to the company's earnings statement, JioMart saw daily orders jump by 42% last quarter and an impressive 200% compared to last year.

Expanding beyond groceries

JioMart isn't slowing down—5.8 million new customers joined last quarter alone.
The platform now offers electronics and accessories (not just groceries) in 10 cities.

Quick commerce is a hit for Reliance Retail

Reliance Retail's quick commerce push is showing up on the balance sheet too: for the September quarter, revenue jumped by 18% to ₹90,018 crore and net profit rose nearly 22%.
All signs point to quick commerce being a win for Reliance right now.
