Larsen & Toubro awarded over ₹15,000cr Middle East compression deal
Larsen & Toubro (L&T) just scored a huge contract, over ₹15,000 crore, to build gas compression facilities and utilities in the Middle East.
The deal was awarded through a letter of award issued in FY26 and will be handled by L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Onshore.
It's all about boosting gas compression capacity and utility infrastructure at new sites, with a focus on handling sour gas.
Includes sour gas compression systems
The project covers everything from gas inlet and compression systems to water handling and propane refrigeration units.
To keep things running, L&T will also set up two 230 kV extra-high-voltage substations.
Senior Vice President & Head of L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Onshore E S Sathyanarayanan said, "The contract marks the start of a strategically important project that will add significant gas compression capacity and utility infrastructure. The project draws on our extensive experience in executing large and complex hydrocarbon facilities and reinforces our capability to deliver integrated solutions for challenging sour gas applications."
This will be handled by L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Onshore.
