Manoj Meena turned down ISRO to found Atomberg Technologies
Manoj Meena, who grew up in rural Rajasthan and studied at IIT Bombay, made a bold move by turning down a safe job at ISRO to chase his startup dreams.
In 2012, Manoj Meena founded Atomberg Technologies, and Sibabrata Das joined in 2013.
Fast forward to now, Atomberg has become a big name in India's consumer tech scene.
Atomberg BLDC fan spurred ₹958cr
Atomberg started out doing small engineering gigs but hit it big in 2015 with its energy-saving BLDC ceiling fan, using about 65% less electricity than regular fans.
This fresh idea shook up a market that hadn't seen real change in years.
Despite nearly shutting down in 2019 before getting key funding, Atomberg bounced back and had operating revenue close to ₹958 crore by FY25, expanding into mixer grinders and water purifiers along the way.
