Meesho tax disputes triple to 2071.8cr, rectification and appeal filed
Meesho's tax disputes have jumped over three times this year, reaching ₹2,071.8 crore in FY26.
Most of this is a big demand for ₹14,997.38 million related to taxable income adjustments and a show-cause notice under the Income Tax Act.
The company filed a rectification request and an appeal before the National Faceless Appeal Centre, Delhi.
Meesho revenue 12626cr and users 26.4cr
Even with all the legal drama, Meesho's revenue shot up to ₹12,626 crore from ₹9,390 crore last year, and net losses shrank a lot.
Meesho Chairman, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Vidit Aatrey said Meesho deliberately increased spending on user acquisition and technology.
Their user base grew by 33% to 26.4 crore people, while annual transacting sellers increased 87% to 9.61 lakh, showing Meesho is not slowing down anytime soon.
