Meta to rate employees on 'AI-driven impact' starting 2026
Business
Meta (the folks behind Facebook and Instagram) is shaking up how it reviews employees: from 2026, your performance will partly be judged by how well you use AI to boost productivity or build new tools.
While these "AI-driven impact" scores won't count for 2025, Meta is already nudging staff to highlight their AI efforts in self-reviews as it gears up for an AI-first future.
Why this matters
Meta's not alone—tech giants like Microsoft, Google, and Amazon are also weaving AI into everything they do.
At Meta, you can already use AI tools in coding interviews, and soon there'll be an AI assistant (think Metamate or Gemini) to help with feedback at work.
It's all about making AI a natural part of daily life at the company—and keeping ahead in the tech race.
