Meta to rate employees on 'AI-driven impact' starting 2026

Meta (the folks behind Facebook and Instagram) is shaking up how it reviews employees: from 2026, your performance will partly be judged by how well you use AI to boost productivity or build new tools.
While these "AI-driven impact" scores won't count for 2025, Meta is already nudging staff to highlight their AI efforts in self-reviews as it gears up for an AI-first future.

At Meta, you can already use AI tools in coding interviews, and soon there'll be an AI assistant (think Metamate or Gemini) to help with feedback at work.
