Microsoft to invest ₹1,772cr in quantum computing center in Amaravati

Microsoft is setting up the country's largest quantum computing facility in Amaravati, investing ₹1,772 crore (about $212 million) as part of the new "Quantum Valley" project.
The 4,000 sq ft center will house a 1,200-qubit system.

Microsoft is teaming up with the state government—with a formal MoU likely to be signed at the CII Partnership Summit on November 14-15—to drive local innovation.
As part of this push, Microsoft will train two lakh young people in AI and tech skills, including rural students and teachers.
The Quantum Valley initiative is also drawing other big names like IBM and Fujitsu, promising even more opportunities for collaboration and growth.
