New government rule caps diesel at 200L daily, affecting MSMEs
A new government rule is making life tough for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
Since June 11, industrial and commercial consumers can only buy up to 200-liter of diesel per day from retail outlets.
That's a big problem for MSMEs in manufacturing, healthcare, education, and commerce. Many need much more to keep their operations running smoothly.
V. Rangaswamy suggests 600L cap, exemptions
Many MSMEs in the manufacturing, healthcare, commercial and educational sectors don't have space or resources to store diesel in bulk, so the new cap is causing real headaches.
V. Rangaswamy, president of the Coimbatore District Small Industries Association (CODISSIA), suggests raising the limit to 600-liter a day for registered MSMEs and essential services.
He also recommends digital verification and sector-specific exemptions to make things easier.
If these changes happen, it could help small businesses stay powered up without breaking the rules.
