Oboe lands $16 million to grow its AI-powered learning platform

Business

Oboe, the AI course platform started by Nir Zicherman and Michael Mignano, just scored $16 million in Series A funding led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z).
The cash will help Oboe ramp up growth and reach more learners around the world.

How does oboe work?

Launched in September, Oboe turns your learning goals into personalized courses on a variety of topics, with a particular focus on STEM due to user demand—with chapters, quizzes, flashcards, and even audio lessons.
You can generate unlimited courses for free, or pay $15/month for extra chapters or $40/month for unlimited access plus offline downloads.

What's next?

With this funding boost (and support from big names like Adam D'Angelo and Garry Tan), Oboe plans to add more languages and localize content so users everywhere can learn their way.
Previously, they raised $4 million in seed funding back in 2024.
