Ola's AI arm Krutrim acquires BharatSah'AI'yak
Ola's AI branch, Krutrim, has acquired BharatSah'AI'yak—a chatbot originally built for helping out at Maha Kumbh 2025.
Along with the tech, they're bringing on the core team behind it.
Now, Krutrim wants to take this homegrown chatbot and make it useful for people all over India.
How the chatbot helped at Maha Kumbh
BharatSah'AI'yak (nicknamed KumbhSah'AI'yak) was a lifeline for pilgrims at the massive Maha Kumbh event—offering help with rituals, directions, places to stay, and things to see.
It works in 11 Indian languages and lets users chat by voice or tap through options.
With built-in maps and privacy features, it managed crowds smoothly while keeping info accurate.
Krutrim will plug the chatbot into its own tech stack
Krutrim plans to plug BharatSah'AI'yak into its own tech stack—using their language models and cloud tools—to roll out smarter AI assistance across India.
The goal? Make digital help more inclusive and tuned in to what people here actually need.
