India's startup scene is booming—over 2 lakh startups have sprung up since the launch of Startup India in 2016, creating more than 21 lakh jobs.
These startups are projected to spread opportunities beyond just big cities.
They are getting a boost with tax breaks and simpler rules, making it easier for founders to get started.

Big investments, bigger impact

Production Linked Incentive (PLI) schemes have pulled in ₹1.88 lakh crore in investments across 14 sectors by June 2025.
That's led to over ₹17 lakh crore in new production and sales, more than 12.3 lakh jobs, and exports topping ₹7.5 lakh crore.

Digital business just got easier

Digital commerce is on a roll—Open Network for Digital Commerce handled 326 million orders by October 2025, with nearly six lakh transactions happening daily.
Plus, over 47,000 compliance rules have been cut down or simplified this year, thanks to new laws aimed at making business life smoother for everyone.
