Piyush Goyal: almost ₹10,000cr fund of funds supports deep tech
Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal just announced that almost the entire ₹10,000 crore second tranche of the Fund of Funds will go toward supporting deep-tech innovators in India.
Speaking at Bharat Innovates 2026 in France, he encouraged investors and VCs to jump into India's fast-growing startup scene.

Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal pointed out that India's startup ecosystem is stronger than ever, with a huge market, solid policy support, and government help connecting startups to opportunities.
"The ecosystem is ready. Our startups are a tried and tested model in India," he shared.
He also called for more R&D with universities, support for manufacturing-focused startups, and ideas to bring Indian innovators back home.
Plus, he highlighted how UPI now handles 49% of the world's digital transactions, showing just how far Indian tech has come.
