Publicis Sapient CEO Vaz: India may gain global AI advantage
India's strong software and IT services scene might give it a real advantage in the worldwide AI game, according to Nigel Vaz, CEO of Publicis Sapient.
At the ET World Leaders Forum, Vaz explained that while building up tech infrastructure matters, India's biggest opportunity is using AI to make businesses smarter and more efficient, a two-speed strategy.
Publicis Sapient streamlines workflows with AI
Publicis Sapient already uses AI in its platforms like Slingshot and Bodhi to streamline workflows.
Vaz urged the government to invest in clean energy and core tech so private companies can grow.
He admitted that AI could automate repetitive IT jobs but believes it'll also create new roles.
Vaz: firms will compete and collaborate
Vaz predicts that as AI evolves, startups, consulting firms, and tech giants will compete in some areas of the technology lifecycle and collaborate in others.
Nigel Vaz said companies will compete in certain areas of the technology lifecycle, while in others, they will collaborate, which is different from past technology cycles.
