Reliance announces 'Reliance Intelligence' Jamnagar AI hub, 120MW by 2026
Reliance just announced some big plans: it is setting up a massive AI hub called Reliance Intelligence in Jamnagar, aiming to be the backbone of India's tech future.
This facility will run on clean energy from its Kutch site, and the first 120 megawatts will be commissioned by the end of 2026.
Jio Platforms plans NVIDIA GB300 fleet
The new AI center will use an initial fleet of NVIDIA GB300 GPUs (making it equivalent to more than 75,000 H100 GPUs on an AI-inference basis).
On top of that, Jio Platforms is evaluating the development of a sovereign Low Earth Orbit satellite constellation for India and leasing satellite capacity.
It is also teaming up with Google and Meta, with Google AI Pro already accessible free of cost for hundreds of millions of Jio users and the joint venture with Meta operationalising the LLaMA open-source AI for Indian enterprises, making tech more accessible for everyone.
