ReNew invested ₹20,000 cr in Gujarat plans ₹1L/cr across sectors
ReNew, one of India's top clean-energy players, has invested around ₹20,000 crore in Gujarat so far.
At the SEQUENCE 2026 event on Monday, Vikram Kapur, group president, commercial, regulatory and new business, ReNew, shared that this is only the beginning: ReNew aims to pour up to ₹1 lakh crore across multiple sectors including data centers, renewable energy, pumped hydro, green hydrogen and the like over the next few years.
Dholera hosts 2 renew manufacturing units
From starting with its first project in Jasdan to now a 20,000 MW company, ReNew has come a long way in 15 years.
Kapur highlighted that Gujarat is central to their plans: it hosts two major manufacturing units at Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR), with big capacities for solar modules and cells.
While exact investment splits weren't revealed, ReNew plans to scale investment across multiple sectors including data centers, renewable energy, pumped hydro, and green hydrogen.
