    Samsung's SRI-Noida employees to get special M.Tech from BITS Pilani

    What's the story

    To help its employees develop skills as well as gain an advanced degree, Samsung India has signed an MoU with the reputed BITS Pilani.

    Under this program, selected employees of Samsung R&D Institute India-Noida (SRI-Noida) will be able to undergo a two-year M.Tech course in Software Systems, which covers Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud Computing and Machine Learning (ML).

    The course will be specially designed for SRI-Noida employees

    Under the initiative, 35 employees of SRI-Noida will be chosen each year for undergoing the two-year course from BIT Pilani.

    The course will consist three semesters of theory and one of dissertation. All classes will be conducted on the SRI-Noida campus.

    The curriculum has been framed considering SRI-Noida's requirements and its focus in niche areas like AI and ML.

    Samsung will bear all costs.

    SRI-Noida has developed several innovations for Samsung

    SRI-Noida was established in 2007 with the aim of developing and testing mobile software. Its scope has since widened.

    Today, it is actively involved in developing models for South West Asia, Middle East Asia, Europe, North America and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

    It has developed several India-specific innovations, like the Ultra Data Saving Mode, Social Camera, S Secure and S Power Planning.
