SBI's YONO 2.0 wants to double its users—here's what's new

Business

SBI is preparing to roll out YONO 2.0, a major upgrade to its digital banking app.
The bank hopes to take its user base from about 9.5 crore to 20 crore soon, thanks to a smoother experience across mobile, web, and branches.
SBI Chairman C.S. Setty says the switch will happen in phases, with both existing and new users joining in.

What's cool about YONO 2.0?

The new version packs personalized home screens, instant loan-limit boosts, an integrated UPI stack—all in one place.
It'll support 15 Indian languages (starting with Hindi and English), making it more accessible for everyone.

Why does this matter?

SBI claims YONO 2.0 will make banking way cheaper and faster—customer acquisition costs could drop to a 10th of what branch visits cost now.
With over ₹2 lakh crore already lent digitally and a massive customer base of 53 crore people, SBI is betting big on digital banking being the future—and wants you along for the ride.
