Sensex crosses 78,200 for 1st time, Nifty settles above 24,260

Big day for Indian stock markets!
On Tuesday, the Sensex rose about 640 points (639.82) to close at 78,205.98, while Nifty ended above 24,260, both hit intraday highs during the session.
Most sectors were in the green, although some IT and telecom heavyweights lagged.
Banks led the charge
Banks led the charge: ICICI Bank climbed nearly 2.8%, Axis Bank about 2.4%, and SBI over 1.3%.
Auto stocks also impressed: Mahindra & Mahindra rose more than 3.6% and Maruti Suzuki almost 3%.
Consumer favorites like Asian Paints (+3%) and UltraTech Cement (+2%) added to the momentum, while metal giant Tata Steel gained over 2%.
A few big names like Infosys, Reliance Industries, and Bharti Airtel slipped a bit but didn't slow down the overall rally.
