Sensex, Nifty snap 6-day losing streak, open in green

After a six-day losing streak, India's main stock indices opened strong on Monday.
The Sensex climbed 162 points to 80,589 and the Nifty rose by 75 to hit 24,728.55.
This rebound was mostly thanks to solid gains in IT, oil & gas, realty, and metal stocks—even though FMCG shares held things back a bit.

IT and oil & gas led the charge today, helping offset weaker FMCG stocks and giving investors a reason to feel (cautiously) optimistic again.
