Sensex up 108.95 points as markets recover on cheaper oil
Indian stock markets turned things around on Thursday after a shaky morning, thanks to cheaper crude oil and upbeat signals from abroad.
Sensex was trading 108.95 points higher at 77,264.57, while Nifty quoted 44.25 points up at 24,132.60, both recovering from early dips.
New India Assurance jumps 14%
Mid-cap and small-cap indices saw modest gains (0.2% and 0.6%), while financial stocks got a boost from the National Stock Exchange's IPO news.

Brent crude down 1.66%
Brent crude fell 1.66%, helping cool inflation concerns.
A U.S.-Iran peace deal calmed geopolitical tensions, Asian markets stayed positive, and foreign investors bought ₹101.59 crore in Indian stocks.
With market volatility dipping too, investor confidence got an extra lift.
