SIP inflows hold steady as young investors stick with equities

Business

SIP investments stayed strong in November 2024, bringing in ₹29,445 crore—almost the same as October.
Meanwhile, total mutual fund assets grew to ₹80.8 lakh crore, showing that more money is flowing into the market.

Why does this matter?

Even with ups and downs in the market, people aren't backing out—net equity inflows jumped to nearly ₹29,900 crore.
Investors especially are sticking with their SIPs and exploring different types of funds for long-term growth and stability.

What's behind these moves?

Large-cap, mid-cap, and small-cap funds all saw more action last month. Flexicap and multi-asset funds also attracted attention by spreading investments across market caps and asset classes.
At the same time, less money went into bonds and gold ETFs as preferences shifted toward equities and diversified options.
