Sonova launches Phonak EON AI hearing aid doubling speech understanding
Sonova just launched Phonak EON, its newest hearing-aid platform that uses real-time AI to make speech clearer and listening easier.
According to Anders Rosengren, Sonova's head of research and development, the technology makes speech twice as understandable and lets the device stay small and light.
The rollout starts in the US then heads to Australia and key European markets like Germany, France, Italy, and the UK by mid-September 2026.
Eric Bernard targets growth markets
Sonova's CEO Eric Bernard is steering the company toward fast-growing regions like Asia-Pacific and Latin America, where aging populations mean more demand for hearing aids.
Phonak EON is part of Sonova's push to speed up how often people upgrade their devices and bring in new users through innovation.
Pricing hasn't been announced yet.
