South Central Railway posts ₹21,211.92cr revenue, 4th straight record year
South Central Railway (SCR) just pulled off its best year ever, earning ₹21,211.92 crore in 2025-26.
Most of this came from moving freight (₹13,835.27 crore) and carrying passengers (₹6,235.37 crore).
This marks the fourth year in a row that SCR has broken its own revenue records.
SCR moves 147.87Mt, serves 286.44 million passengers
SCR moved 147.87 million metric tons of goods and served 286.44 million passengers, pushing passenger earnings up by 9.11% over last year and even beating Railway Board targets.
On top of that, extra cash flowed in from other sources, including parcels, ticket-checking penalties and coach bookings, which earned ₹515.18 crore, and non-fare segments such as parking, catering, retiring rooms and other commercial activities, which earned ₹626.10 crore.
All-around growth made this a standout year for SCR.
