SpiceJet adds 15 planes in just 6 weeks

Business

SpiceJet just boosted its fleet to 35 planes, adding 15 new aircraft since October—including a majority of Boeing 737s and even bringing back a grounded 737 MAX.
They've also rolled out an Airbus A340 for international flights, all in time for the busy festive and winter travel season.
This is one of the airline's biggest growth spurts ever, letting them more than double their capacity by December.

More flights on the horizon

If you're planning to fly soon, expect more flight options—SpiceJet's daily flights jumped from 100 in September to 176 by mid-November, with plans for even more by year-end.
The airline is making these moves to keep up with rising demand and get back on track after some tough times.

SpiceJet aims to bounce back this winter

Even though SpiceJet posted a ₹635 crore loss last quarter (thanks partly to currency swings), they managed to secure $89.5 million in fresh funds and kept most seats filled (84% load factor).
With new planes coming in, they're hoping for smoother skies ahead as travel picks up this winter.
