Starbucks aims for 50 to 100 India store openings yearly
Starbucks wants to make your coffee runs easier, aiming to open 50 to 100 new stores across India every year.
The brand has already more than doubled its store count to over 500 outlets in the past four to five years, and sees huge potential here, even though most people still prefer tea.
As incomes rise and tastes shift, Starbucks is betting big on India's growing coffee crowd.
Tata Starbucks halves losses, expands formats
To keep things fresh, Tata Starbucks is rolling out drive-throughs, kiosks, and premium Reserve stores that have outperformed expectations.
Most of what you sip is sourced locally (yes, those espresso beans are roasted right here), helping avoid supply chain hiccups.
While profits aren't the main goal yet (CEO Sushant Dash says it's all about building presence), the company has managed to cut losses in half and deliver double-digit growth in earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization in the financial year ended March 31, 2026.
