Stock market plummets: Sensex and Nifty take a hit
Indian stock markets opened lower on Monday, with the Sensex falling over 500 points and Nifty slipping below 25,000.
The dip followed US airstrikes on Iranian nuclear sites, which led Iran to threaten retaliation and its Parliament to approve closing the key Strait of Hormuz—a move that's making investors uneasy.

Global markets take a hit too
It wasn't just India—global markets took a hit too. Asian stocks fell, oil prices shot up by over 2%, and gold climbed nearly 3% as people looked for safer bets.
Market expert Anand James noted that if Nifty can't hold above 25,045, we might see more drops ahead, with support around 24,865.
