Suzlon, Tata Power, Waaree Energy announce ₹10,000cr Rayadurg wind project
Suzlon Group just announced a major move: they are teaming up with Tata Power and Waaree Energy for 1,325 MW of new wind projects in the Rayadurg constituency of Anantapur district, while targeting 5 GW of additional renewable energy capacity in Andhra Pradesh by 2030.
This project is not just about clean power; it's set to create around 4,000 jobs and includes a wind energy boost in Rayadurg, Anantapur district.
The investment? A hefty ₹10,000 crore for the Rayadurg wind project.
Suzlon invested ₹12,000cr in Andhra Pradesh
Suzlon has been investing in Andhra Pradesh since 2004, pouring ₹12,000 crore into infrastructure and running a key rotor blade plant in Ippuru, which makes about 40% of the company's total blade production capacity, with an annual output capability equivalent to 1,260 MW.
They employ around 2,200 people across the state and have set up Wind Energy Learning Centers in Vijayawada and Uravakonda to train approximately 12,000 young professionals, with women making up one-quarter of the trainees.
