Uber's women-only rides are now available across the US.
Uber just made it easier for women to ride and drive with each other, rolling out its "Women Preferences" feature nationwide in the US.
After starting in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Detroit last year, the option quickly expanded to big cities like New York City and Atlanta thanks to strong user feedback.
Women can now choose to ride with other women
With this feature, female riders can choose to be matched with female drivers and even set preferences in advance.
Drivers can opt in or out anytime. It's also open to Uber Teen accounts.
Uber says the feature responds to feedback from women who asked for the option to match with other women.
The feature has powered over 230 million trips
Launched first in Saudi Arabia back in 2019, "Women Preferences" has now powered over 230 million trips across more than 40 countries, including Germany, France, Brazil, and Spain, showing just how much demand there is for safer and more comfortable rides worldwide.
