Uolo raises $7 million to expand network, develop AI learning companions
Uolo, an edtech startup from Gurugram, just raised $7 million in fresh funding led by Five Sigma from Australia, with support from Blume Ventures and others.
The money is set to help them reach more schools and ramp up their AI-powered learning tools.
What does Uolo actually do?
Uolo teams up with schools to offer textbooks and a home-practice app for subjects like English, math, and computer science.
They're already working with over 2,500 schools and 1.1 million paying students across India.
Now they're aiming for 3,500 schools and adding new subjects—all while developing AI-powered home learning companions.
By the numbers
Uolo doubled its revenue in a year—from ₹55 crore to ₹103 crore—and says its main business is profitable.
With this new funding, they're focused on scaling their AI projects and bringing smart, curriculum-friendly tech to even more students in India's booming education scene.
