Y Combinator sells nearly ₹970cr Meesho stake after December IPO
Business
Y Combinator, a well-known startup accelerator, just sold nearly ₹970 crore worth of shares in Meesho, one of India's top e-commerce platforms.
The sale happened through a block deal on the NSE and follows Meesho's IPO last December, which opened the door for early investors to take their profits.
Early investors exit as Meesho grows
Y Combinator isn't alone: Peak XV Partners and Elevation Capital also sold shares recently, selling nearly ₹1,949 crore worth of shares.
Even with these big exits, Meesho is holding strong: it saw 48% year-on-year operating revenue growth in the previous quarter (Q1 FY27) and managed to cut its losses almost in half.
For anyone watching the Indian startup scene, Meesho's numbers suggest it's still got plenty of momentum.
