Yum China introduces AI tool for enhanced efficiency
KFC in China is testing out a new AI-powered helper called Q-Smart.
This hands-free assistant runs on devices like smartwatches and earphones, letting managers handle things like staff schedules, inventory checks, and food quality just by talking—no more tapping on screens.
Q-Smart is currently being tested in select stores
Q-Smart keeps an eye on stock levels versus sales forecasts and gives reminders when it's time to restock.
It also helps managers do equipment checks without using their hands and taps into Yum China's knowledge base for instant solutions.
Right now, it's being trialed at a few KFC stores, with bigger plans if the feedback's good.
Q-Smart uses AI to streamline restaurant management
Unlike traditional data entry or manual systems, Q-Smart uses AI for smoother, faster store management—all through voice commands.
The goal is to make work easier for staff and improve customer service, potentially putting Yum China ahead in the restaurant tech game.
