Popular Kollywood filmmaker Vignesh Shivan is all set to collaborate with Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar for the first time. Shivan's frequent collaborator Anirudh Ravichander will compose music for the much-awaited project, tentatively titled AK 62. "The shooting of the film will commence by the end of the year and release by mid next year. The other cast and crew details will be announced soon," read Lyca Productions' press note. Meanwhile, an elated Shivan tweeted, "Thank U #AjithSir for this greatest opportunity to work with you for the prestigious #AK62 Words can't explain the happiness (sic)."

Is Nayanthara playing the leading lady in 'AK 62'?
While there is no official confirmation yet, reports suggest that lady superstar Nayanthara has been roped in to play AK's romantic interest in the upcoming film. Meanwhile, it was announced last month that AK will be collaborating with director H Vinoth and producer Boney Kapoor for the third time after Valimai and Nerkonda Paarvai.
